Hyaluronic acid (HA) is found naturally in our skin, joints and eyes. Its main function is to retain water to keep everything well lubricated and hydrated. HA levels deplete with age and damage from UV rays from the sun. HA is an important component of the skin, as it maintains the skin’s hydration and, together with collagen and elastin, it helps form the supporting structure of the skin. With low levels, the skin looks dull, dehydrated and wrinkled. Dr Pratish uses Teosyal® Redensity 1, a concentrated mix of hyaluronic and amino acids, antioxidants, minerals and Vitamin B6, to help with treating and improving several signs of aging skin, including fine lines, loss of elasticity, sun damage and dehydration. It is both restorative and preventative. As its name suggests, it redensifies your skin, restores its ability to reflect light and promote radiance, and gives an immediate, cumulative, visible, and – most importantly – natural result! A dentist since 1995 and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons since 1999, he has taught and practiced in the Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery department at King’s College Hospital. Practicing facial aesthetics since 2004, he was among the first in the UK to earn the Level 7 (Master’s Level) qualification in facial injectables and has taught at a leading academy since 2018.
